Thank you to the many friends and colleagues – near and far – who have reached out to IISC with an inquiry about racial equity consulting and/or training. This is an extraordinary time, indeed. While we have known for more years than any of us can count that we live in a racist society, recent events – from the pandemic and its disproportionate impact on communities of color to the murder of George Floyd and so many other Black people at the hands of the police – have caused many more among us than ever before to pay attention and realize it’s time to take action.
IISC primarily focuses on working with organizations that are committing to comprehensive, long-term organizational change for racial equity. We also offer training to individuals and groups seeking to build their capacity and skills for collaborative change for racial equity. And we are working hard to sharpen our focus to ensure that our work has the greatest possible impact on our commitment to fundamentally transform the DNA of this society by doing our part to uproot racism.
Given the increase in the number of inquiries we are receiving, we are inviting you to attend a group information session with two of our consultants. The sessions will be designed to provide participants with a more complete understanding of IISC’s approach to building capacity to advance racial equity within an organization, network, or community. We want to give you the information you need to discern if pursuing a partnership with IISC makes sense for you and your colleagues.
Following the session, you will be given the opportunity to affirm your interest in pursuing an engagement with IISC in a process whereby we also will be determining if a partnership between us makes sense.
Please complete this Google form to indicate your intention to attend one of these sessions, or a future one yet to be scheduled. The two sessions scheduled thus far are:
- Thursday, October 29, 3:30-4:30pm ET
- Wednesday, December 9, 3:30-4:30pm ET
In the meantime, here is a list of additional resources and please sign up for IISC’s email updates so that you will hear about new offerings from IISC as they become available, including our various trainings which we are working now to convert to virtual offerings. Thank you again for your passion for and commitment to working for a more equitable and just world for Black, Indigenous, and people of color. Together, we will make it so.
