Maureen White

Affiliate Consultant & Project/Content Manager

Maureen White (she/her) is a consultant, coach, and facilitator based in Boston. For over twenty-five years, she has worked with and for nonprofits, campaigns, community groups, and social movements. She believes that every community has inherent wisdom and that expert process design, facilitation, and coaching can allow this wisdom to emerge.

In addition to her own consulting practice, Maureen is an affiliate at the Interaction Institute for Social Change, where she was trained in the Facilitative Leadership™ approach to collaborative social justice work. She uses this approach to help teams reach clarity and build agreements about how to move their work forward in a strategic way.

Maureen is intensely curious about the world and has lived, worked, and studied in more than a dozen countries on four continents. She has experience in a diverse array of fields, including community development, education, transportation, housing, and neighborhood planning. She also has a long-term commitment to racial justice and to helping groups to see their work through an equity lens.

Maureen holds a B.A. in Urban Studies and Public Policy from Boston University, a certificate in Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion in the Workplace, and a certificate in Nonprofit Management. Her deepest values are community, equity, and sustainability.
